Mark visits the crew at Cheadle Fire Station

Cheadle MP Mark Hunter paid a visit to fire fighters at the Cheadle Fire Station on Turves Road this week to promote the campaign to install 200,000 smoke alarms to homes in Cheadle and across Greater Manchester.

Mark met station commander Jeff Smith and his fire crew on Friday (8th December) to support the campaign and find out about the issues affecting our fire services locally.

Mark, who is Liberal Democrat spokesman on fire service issues in Parliament said, "Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have made it easier than ever to get a smoke detector fitted. By calling the freephone number, residents can make sure they're safe this Winter."

The number to call is 0800 555815
