Mark meeting volunteers and workers at Stockport Victim Support

Volunteers at Stockport Victim Support had the opportunity to quiz local Cheadle MP Mark Hunter when he visited their local office in Stockport Town Centre on Friday (23rd February). Mark had sought the opportunity to meet with volunteer workers in order to learn, first hand, of the excellent work that they do in assisting the victims of crime.

The MP told the group that he thought highly of the important contribution made by Stockport Victim Support and pledged his own backing for their work and their continued battle for adequate funding.

Mark speaking after the event said, "There is no doubt that Stockport Victims Support do a magnificent job in helping victims of crime in our area, and I know from my experience as an MP that their work is very much appreciated in the community. Apart from affording a good opportunity to listen to their own concerns on a range of related issues, my visit allowed me to assure Stockport Victim Support of my ongoing and whole-hearted backing".
