Mr Hunter spoke at the opening of the meeting and then answered questions on both local matters and issues relating to small businesses. Topics were varied and included areas such as congestion charging and local transport matters, business rates and council tax, as well as bureaucracy and red tape especially in relation to health and safety regulations.
Speaking after the event, Mark Hunter said: "It is important to me to have the opportunity to meet and listen to the issues and concerns important to the small business owners of Cheadle, and it was a pleasure to be able to do so on this occasion. The discussions were very interesting and I was happy to be able to answer the questions put to me. I was very grateful for this valuable opportunity provided by the FSB, as always it was extremely helpful to be able to listen to the priorities of constituents.
