Mark praises the strong work of Cheadle Royal Industries

Cheadle Royal Industries are providing strong support for people with disabilities

Last Friday (25th January) Liberal Democrat MP Mark Hunter visited Cheadle Royal Industries' (CRI) sheltered workshop which provides industrial therapy for those with learning difficulties.

The charity operates a factory at Cheadle Royal Hospital where Mark met with Steve Jackson the General Manager and a number of the Trustees. He toured the factory unit and saw first hand the production of party hats and novelties by some of the 30 workers who benefit from the work provided.

After the visit Steve Jackson commented:

"It was a great opportunity to meet with Mark and discuss with him the work of CRI and the challenges facing the organisation.

"His ideas and advice on how to seek further support for our vital work at CRI are very much appreciated."

Commenting, Mark said:

"The work carried out at Cheadle Royal Industries is tremendously valuable and I was pleased to see how the unit provides those with learning difficulties worthwhile and fulfilling employment, and how they clearly gain great benefit from this."
