The 51st Annual Cheadle Hulme Flower show was held last Saturday 4th September 2010. Cheadle MP Mark Hunter was delighted to be invited back as a special guest, and was in attendance alongside wife Lesley and local Councillor John Pantall.

The event, held at the landmark Cheadle Hulme Parish Rooms, had a lot to live up to after previous years - and certainly didn't fail to impress. The day's competitions showcased a huge variety of fruits, vegetables, handicrafts, artistic photography and flower entries that culminated in a number of worthy prizewinners.

Commenting after the event, Mr Hunter said,

"The Cheadle Hulme Flower Show is always an exciting event for our local community and never fails to impress. The show has retained its popularity, with more local residents cramming into the Parish Rooms than ever before.

"It is always a pleasure for Lesley and I to visit the show, so we were delighted to be invited back yet again to meet with Cheadle residents and to see the local grown flowers and vegetables, as well as the many other crafts on display.

"The Cheadle Hulme Flower Show is a great community event in the local area's calendar and I pay tribute to all involved."
