Local MP and President of Stockport Parkinsons Disease Society Mark Hunter was a special guest at last Friday's Parkinsons Disease Society coffee morning and Autumn Fair at the Parkside Social Club on Midland Road in Bramhall.

Mr Hunter was welcomed to the fair by Branch Chairman Ian Anderson alongside Cllr Helen Foster Grime, where he helped auction a signed football shirt and gave a personal speech to the many people who attended the fundraising event. Mark has worked with the Parkinsons Disease Society nationally and is hosting a reception in Parliament for the organisation later this month.

Commenting, Mark said:

"The Parkinsons Disease Society Autumn Fair is a major fundraising event in the local calendar and was yet again a great success last weekend.

"The fair was well attended, and it was an excellent opportunity to meet with local residents and catch up with people from the Society's local group."
