Cheadle MP Mark Hunter today (Thursday 3rd November 2011) welcomed back Deputy Prime Minister and Lib Dem Leader Nick Clegg to his Cheadle constituency. The Deputy Prime Minister was in town to visit North Cheshire Jewish Primary School, Kingsway School and in a busy afternoon the two men also spoke with members of the Cheadle Muslim Association at the Cheadle Mosque on Wilmslow Road in Heald Green.

The DPM met Headteacher Mr Joseph Kelly, staff and pupils at NCJPS and at Kingsway was quizzed by pupils in a Question and Answer session, which followed a meeting with Head Teacher Mike Gledhill. Afterwards the Deputy Prime Minister commented that he had been "very impressed" by what he had seen at both schools and complimented them on their achievements. He also said the discussion with members of the CMA has been "extremely useful".

Speaking after the whistle stop tour, Cheadle MP Mark Hunter said:

"It was a pleasure to welcome the DPM back to Cheadle And I'm delighted he was able to see for himself some of the great work that is going on in our local schools and our community.

"I'm always keen to promote our area in my work in Westminster and I'm pleased the Deputy Prime Minister chose to come to Cheadle today to support our efforts."
