Mark presented the certificate to Andrew Cant & Sue Steel, Simply Books

On Friday 9th December 2011, local MP Mark Hunter presented Andrew Cant and Sue Steel from Simply Books, Bramhall, with a special certificate from the All Party Parliamentary Small Shops Group.

Mark had nominated them for a "Best Small Shops Competition" award for which they were shortlisted but sadly, on this occasion, did not win. Mr Hunter had previously accepted the nomination certificate on behalf of Simply Books at a special campaign event on the House of Commons.

Commenting, Mark said:

"Simply Books are well known as a high profile local business and have picked up a number of awards over the years for their dynamic, innovative ethos and I was delighted to present Sue Steel and Andrew Cant with a certificate from the Parliamentary Group for Small Shops. This is a great scheme to promote local shops, who deserve our support all year round and not just at Christmas time.

"This well loved local business has gone from strength to strength in recent years and I congratulate them on all they have achieved and continue to achieve. Simply Books are truly part of the fabric of Bramhall."
