Mark alongside Stockport MIND Chief Executive, Richard WickisonLocal MP Mark Hunter has presented mental health charity Mind's Stockport and District Chief Executive, Richard Wickison, with a special certificate from the Charity Commission to applaud the "Quality Standards" achieved by Stockport Mind.

Stockport and District Mind are regularly monitored for quality assurance through the National Mind regulatory body - Quality Management in Mind (QMiM). A rigorous review of standards including; Staff's knowledge, policy and procedures, standard of services provided and service user involvement were all checked. As a national organisation Mind's Quality standards have successfully achieved endorsement by the Charity Commission.

Therefore, by achieving level 2 of QMiM, Stockport and District Mind have also achieved the Charity Commission's "Members' Quality Standard.

Commenting, Mark said:

"I was delighted to be asked by Stockport and District Mind to present this award on behalf of the Charity Commission.

"It was a pleasure to visit their premises in Stockport once again, and hear about all of the fantastic work that is being carried out, providing support for people with mental health problems and promoting such an important cause.

"Stockport MIND are an enthusiastic and effective group who do much good work - very often unseen - in our community.

"I congratulate Richard Wickison and all of the local staff on this achievement."
