Lum Head Jubylimpics eventLast Friday 25th May 2012 Cheadle MP Mark Hunter joined with local councillor Iain Roberts, Pam King and Keith Holloway at Lum Head Primary School after being invited as a special guest to their "Jubilympics" event.

After a week long programme of events including a mock torch parade and Olympic activities for all the boys and girls, the final day's events included a picnic lunch and a raffle. Residents of nearby retirement home Mitchell House were also invited to observe the festivities - and many parents were also in attendance.

After proposing the Royal Toast, Mark spoke with girls and boys from the school and was given a celebration mug and teddy bear.

Commenting, Mark said:

"This was a fantastic occasion for all those involved - well done to all the staff for organising the event - the hard work certainly paid off!

"Thank you to all at Lum Head Primary School for inviting me to the "Jubilympics" event and congratulations to all the boys and girls who took part on the day."
