Our area’s Remembrance Sunday Services

On Remembrance Sunday, Remembrance Services will take place throughout the Cheadle constituency - please note the different starting times:

Bramhall: World War 1 Commemoration Remembrance Day

10.30am: Procession forms on Holland Road and proceeds to Bramhall War Memorial.
11.00am: Service at the War Memorial.

Cheadle:

10.30am: Parade to assemble at junction of Massie Street with High Street to proceed down High Street to War Memorial.
11.00am: Service at the War Memorial.

Cheadle Hulme:

9.40am: Meets at Hazel Road (by old Police Station) and proceed to War Memorial.
9.55am: Depart to War Memorial.

Gatley:

10.45am: Service of Remembrance at War Memorial, Gatley Green.

Hazel Grove:

10.45am: Service and laying of wreaths at War Memorial, London Road.

Heald Green:

12.00 noon: Service and laying of wreaths at Heald Green & Long Lane War Memorial, Wilmslow Road.

Due to the usual staggered start times of the wreath laying ceremonies, local MP Mark Hunter is able to attend in Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle and Heald Green; he will be represented at the other events.

Commenting ahead of this year's Remembrance services, Mark said:

"Each year the residents across our area turn out in numbers to show their respect and pay their tribute to those members of the armed forces who have given their lives to uphold our freedoms and way of life.

"I have no doubt that this year will be the same; for all of us it is important to take time to remember those to whom we owe so much."
