Mark Hunter, MP for Cheadle constituency, has met with a number of local business leaders at a roundtable event hosted by NatWest Bank. Andrew Hazley, NatWest Commercial Banking Director and Scott Ryan, NatWest Business Banking Director also joined the discussion. Following the meeting, Andrew Hazley said: Natwest Logo

'The opportunity to get our customers around the table with their local MP and talk about how we are supporting the local economy and community is incredibly valuable. The discussion helps us to understand local ambitions and is all part of what we do to help local businesses maximise the opportunities out there. The discussion is frank and refreshing: we are clear about how we are changing to ensure we can serve our customers better than ever before.'

Roundtable events enable discussion about current issues facing local businesses and what Mark and local banking groups can do to help. Mark also took the opportunity to visit NatWest's local branch and to meet with Janet Wallace, the branch manager and Rachel Enright, the Local CEO.

Mark Hunter commented:

'A meeting such as this is an invariably helpful chance to engage with the local business community; the open discussions that are possible offer a real insight into how we can move forward and help the continued growth of the local economy.

'It was also useful to meet with Andrew and Scott to talk about what action NatWest and other banks are taking to support businesses to realise ambitions for growth and I thank them for hosting this afternoon's event.'
