Local MP, Mark Hunter, was recently invited to Independent Options to meet with some of the parents and carers, Steve Hyde, the CEO, and Jim Grassick, Chair of the Trustees. At the meeting Mark listened to any concerns and joined a discussion on the future care options for those currently being supported and the financial challenges ahead.

Following the event, Mark commented:

'Independent Options is a great local charity that provides an excellent service to some of the more vulnerable people of our community. I was delighted to be invited this afternoon and to meet so some of the carers that dedicate themselves to enabling people with disabilities, and also easing the pressure on their families.'

Jim Grassick added:

'Everyone was buoyed by Mark's support and we look forward to welcome him back for future coffee afternoons!'
