The Thursday Club, which is soon to celebrate it's Pearl Anniversary, provides a setting for older members of the community to socialise, have lunch and opportunity listen to guest speakers.

Mark Hunter, who visited the club this week, said "I was delighted to be asked to attend the Thursday Club, share lunch with the members and volunteers and be grilled on my life as a Member or Parliament. Thanks must go to all the hardworking volunteers who give up their time to help at this wonderful group. I urge anyone interested to volunteer or attend to get in touch with the local coordinators."

The Group meet every Thursday from 10am to 3pm at the Methodist Church, Bramhall Lane South, Stockport SK7 1AL.

The Thursday Club always welcomes Volunteers. If you can spare time once a month, would like to make new friends, enjoy fun and laughter and are interested in helping, you can find out more from David Sargent. Just email [email protected] or 0161 439 1779.
