Tom Morrison is working with local Lib Dem councillors, Keith Holloway, to get more support for our local district centres.
Cheadle High Street, Cheadle Hulme precinct and Bramhall Village Centre are all facing tough times. Yet Stockport Council still fails when it comes to supporting local businesses.
Cllr Keith Holloway said, “Cheadle High Street has so much potential. Organisations such as Cheadle Civic Society and the Cheadle Partnership work hard to keep things going, but the Council seem to provide very little assistance.”
Tom Morrison said, “We demand better for our high streets. That’s why Keith and I started our Save our High Streets campaign. We want to ensure that our district centres flourish, with local businesses and restaurants all getting the support they need from the council and government.”
Tom and Keith have started surveying local businesses for their opinions and suggestions of what support would help.
