Mike Newman is a dedicated local councillor who brings energy, approachability, and hands-on action to his work in Cheadle East and Cheadle Hulme North. A lifelong Stockport resident and proud Lib Dem, Mike is known for his thoughtful listening, collaborative spirit, and passion for the environment. He’s regularly out and about in the ward — speaking with residents, working with community groups, and keeping pressure on the council to deliver on local priorities.

With a strong track record of action on green space protection, road safety, and fly-tipping, Mike is also a key voice in local discussions around development, helping ensure new plans work for existing communities.
