Last Thursday, Liberal Demcorat Tom Morrison won the Cheadle constituency from the Conservatives with a substantial 12,235 vote majority. Taking the seat back for the first time in a decade Tom Morrison praised the people of Cheadle Constituency.

"I am truly humbled that the people have Cheadle have placed their faith in me to be their member of parliament. I promise to be the local champion you have been denied and the hard-working and accessible MP you deserve. From this day on I will work to fix Stepping  Hill hospital, to tackle to cost of living crisis and to end the scandal of sewage dumping in our local rivers. I pledge to work for you, rather than being Westimister's voice in Cheadle, I will be Cheadle's voice in parliament."

The Liberal Democrats are back and we're stronger than ever. We will be using our 72 MPs to hold the new government to account and to get a fair deal for hard-working people both here in Cheadle and across the UK. I look forward to representing Stockport Borough alongside Lisa Smart in Hazel Grove" said new MP Tom Morrison.

"I hope to have a new office and staff set up in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me or my team with any casework issues you may have."
